Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company’s WECTEC Staffing Services seeks an Access Authorization Specialist on a 6-month contract. The role offers hybrid work with 2 days/week in Madison, PA or fully remote if you live beyond 50 miles.

About the role:

Access Authorization Specialist Contract- 6 months.

You will report hybrid remote/in-office (2 days/week) to the Madison, PA office or remote work is available if your residence is more than 50 miles from the worksite.

Your primary focus is on pre-employment background investigations. Ensure compliance with the requirements of Westinghouse policies, procedures and applicable parts of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). You will report directly to the Access Programs Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will follow the established Access Authorization security procedures in addition to any state or federal guidelines
• Interface with employees and non-employees, foreign and domestic, to gather personal and confidential information regarding background investigations, drug/alcohol test results, and training records used to determine trustworthiness and reliability for access authorization.
• Review appropriate site criteria and identify qualifications to determine the suitability for access authorization using manual or electronic systems.
• Create/review files for incoming or existing personnel and prepare appropriate documentation to request unescorted access for individuals working on Westinghouse sites or assignments.
• Maintain knowledge of the regulatory, customer and Westinghouse operating procedures and other guidance; and maintain strict confidentiality and security of all access authorization documentation and files
• You will maintain the security and confidentiality of all Security Organization operations and information.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Some college work or additional professional training
• Experience with written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft office
• Experience in detailed work
• You will learn and use proprietary databases related to course of work
• Valid state driver's licenses
• You will pass pre-employment and regulatory required background investigations to include criminal, traffic, fingerprint records check, work references, and education history
• 3 months experience in security, human resources, administration or related field
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident Required
