Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks a board-eligible/board-certified Transplant Nephrologist to join its expanding abdominal transplant program within Albany Med Health System. This role blends transplant nephrology with general nephrology care and scholarly activity.

You will participate in inpatient transplant rounds and outpatient clinics, support organ offer discussions, and contribute to quality improvement and program development in a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology.
• MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
• Academic experience or interest sufficient for appointment at Assistant/Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient transplant care and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Outpatient transplant clinics: pre-transplant evaluations, living donor evaluations, post-transplant follow-up.
• Participation in organ offer review and recipient selection discussions as volume grows.
• Quality improvement and transplant program development initiatives.
