Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Basic knowledge of typical office equipment (phones, copiers, fax, email).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic classroom management and planning skills.
• Basic organizational skills.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards.
• Ability to support programs designed to increase student achievement.
• Ability to assume leadership in development and communication of programs and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.
• Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, schedule, and individualized learning programs.
• Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
• Design assessment tasks to demonstrate understanding and provide feedback.
• Create a classroom environment that maximizes instructional opportunity and supervise student behavior.
• Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation.
• Communicate students’ progress with parents/guardians and other staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction.
• Participate in department, team, building, and District meetings and discussions; conferences; activities; and professional growth opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
