Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support licensed staff in delivering curriculum and reinforcing learning skills. You will assist with individual and small-group instruction, prepare materials, monitor student progress, and help maintain classroom discipline.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments may require two years of college or an associate’s degree, or demonstrated knowledge and assessment of reading/writing/mathematics readiness.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with curriculum work and reinforce learning skills in small groups or individually.
• Prepare classroom materials and monitor students; assist with grading and recording achievement.
• Reinforce discipline procedures and support behavior management.
• Perform basic clerical tasks for the teacher (typing, filing, ordering supplies, data entry).
• Support field trips and classroom events as needed.
