Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, invites applications for a Senior Academic Program Manager. You will work with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, the Department Head, the HPP Director, and other key faculty to support students and academic programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Biological Sciences or related field preferred.
  • Experience in higher education administrative support, student services, purchasing, and/or academic program management.
  • Education marketing/outreach experience preferred.
  • Strong relationship building, organization, problem-solving and reasoning skills required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills preferred.
  • Strong technical skills preferred (Google Suite, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

  • Administer courses, rosters, and registration processes in S3, including waitlists.
  • Serve as primary liaison to Registrar’s Office, coordinating exam scheduling and classroom changes.
  • Maintain websites, catalog, and audit systems (e.g., Stellic); prepare materials for reviews.
  • Manage advisor scheduling, rosters, and department/inbox communications; support milestones.
  • Lead planning and execution of undergraduate diploma ceremonies and related events.
  • Coordinate registration for undergraduate research and honors programs; maintain records.
  • Support student engagement events, and manage grants for department and HPP.
  • Supervise work-study students and coordinatе volunteers for events.
  • Assist with accreditation records, faculty reappointment support, and meeting materials.
