Job summary

University of Maryland School of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Sleep Medicine seeks an Academic Services Specialist to coordinate and manage the administrative functions of one or more doctoral or graduate programs. • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree.
• EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of administration of a program, preferably in higher education or healthcare setting.
• Substitution rules allow related education/experience with 30 undergraduate credits equaling one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full administrative and operational activities of an academic program.
• Develop, compile, and write program coursework communications and promotional literature.
• Organize clinical or internship site assignments and supervision.
• Prepare periodic reports, financial statements and records for management or outside agencies.
• Respond to student questions and concerns; work with students to resolve issues to ensure progress.
