Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, development, and implementation of academic functions for the School of Education (primary support) and School of Public Policy (backup support).
  • Coordinate academic recruitments, arrange interviews, serve on search committees, and manage campus visit logistics.
  • Independently manage academic appointment and reappointment files.
  • Prepare academic review (merit and promotion) files for both senate and non‑senate appointees.
  • Generate appointment and reappointment letters for academic employees.
  • Support the School’s operations at the control‑unit level as the Dean’s Office Analyst and at the department level as the Department Analyst.
  • Interpret and apply policies and regulations related to Senate and Non‑Senate academic personnel recruitment, appointment, and advancement.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in the Academic Personnel Manual (APM), The CALL, The Non‑Senate, Non‑Represented CALL, Academic Hiring Toolkit, University Policy and Procedures Manual, union contracts, and related directives.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate with Associate Deans and Search Chairs.
  • Current work authorization to accept a UCR staff position (UCR does not sponsor or take over employment visas).
  • Compliance with all applicable University policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Compensation and Benefits

The full salary range is $73,600 – $133,200 annually, with an expected pay scale up to $88,500 based on education, licensure, certifications, experience, and organizational needs. UCR provides a comprehensive benefits package in accordance with University policy.
