UC Irvine is seeking Lead Department Academic Personnel Analyst to support academic HR practices, policies, and procedures across campus units.
You will review personnel files, manage appointment and review cycles for senate and non-senate staff, and oversee recruitment activities, leaves, and outside professional activities. You will train and advise department HR analysts and faculty, and resolve complex HR issues with prudent judgment.

Serving client departments from a centralized Dean's Academic Personnel Office, the Lead Department Academic Personnel Analyst is a seasoned experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of UC, campus, and unit academic practices, policies, and procedures. Reviews and analyzes a wide variety of academic personnel files and manages the academic personnel appointment and review cycle for department’s senate and non-senate academic employees as well as visitor appointments for departments and their associated research groups. Manages academic recruitment activities, joint faculty appointments, the processing of leave requests, summer salary, NSP, and annual outside professional activities. Provides training, high level oversight, and advice to department academic HR analysts as well as advises faculty, department chairs, and administrators on academic personnel matters. Researches and resolves moderate to complex academic HR-related issues affecting a broad range of academic titles in imaginative and practical ways. The expected pay range for this position is: $79,200.00 - $95,250.00 /year
