Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks fellowship-trained Obstetric Anesthesiologists at all ranks to join our obstetric anesthesia faculty as we expand care at the Capital Region's only academic medical center and Level 1 trauma center.

Our practice includes healthy parturients and high-risk patients; about 2,500 deliveries annually, with >50% high-risk/MFM cases. We offer collaborative, scholarly activity–driven care with opportunities for research and mentorship.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesiology required.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or foreign equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for obstetric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents and medical students.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects with scholarly activity encouraged.
