Job summary

John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL seeks a Library Specialist for full-time, 12-month duties at the Library and Learning Resource Center. The role handles circulation, resources, acquisitions, and public assistance, delivering exceptional service to students, faculty and the community.

The position reports to the Director of Library Services, supports ILS and library software, maintains records, and participates in collection management and special projects. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Certification or licensure (LTA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operation of the library and Learning Resource Center.
• Provide circulation services and patron assistance.
• Support library technology, databases, and instructional resources.
• Assist with acquisitions, invoices, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain and organize library materials and spaces.
