Job summary

Luther Seminary is seeking a Liaison for Computing (LFC) to enhance IT support for Augsburg University and Luther Seminary. The role focuses on building relationships with faculty, staff, and students to improve IT literacy and service delivery.

You will advise on IT resources, collaborate with AIS and SysNet teams, supervise student workers, and participate in ABIDE initiatives to foster an inclusive tech environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with two years of IT experience, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in IT user support.
• Advanced Mac and PC hardware/software support.
• Experience with department IT systems and telecom equipment.
• Familiarity with classroom AV and video conferencing.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive, professional relationships with designated staff and students, balancing Augsburg and Luther Seminary IT needs.
• Provide consultative just-in-time support and first level troubleshooting for computer and telecom equipment.
• Maintain awareness of IT resources and refine documentation and training materials.
• Identify support trends and collaborate with AIS and SysNet on issue resolution.
• Recommend resource acquisitions to designated academic personnel and advocate for these needs.
• Support ABIDE commitments by integrating equity-minded practices into daily duties.
