Qualifications

• Working knowledge of UCLA academic personnel and payroll policies, procedures, and processes.
• Broad based and detailed working knowledge of Departmental and University policies and procedures.
• Analytical ability to interpret policies and convey information clearly.
• Ability to set priorities amid interruptions and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with office software and data systems used in UCLA.
• Ability to review dossiers and payroll data for discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skill in organizing and maintaining materials and files.
• Familiarity with UCPath and related payroll workflows.
• Knowledge of confidentiality of records and handling sensitive information.
• Experience with UC and Federal regulatory requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage academic personnel matters for multiple units and appointees.
• Create new positions, recruit, hire, and process payroll and dossiers.
• Coordinate with department chair, CAO, and other units to support policies.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance for all payroll transactions.
