Job summary

10x Genomics Inc is seeking an Account Executive for the East Los Angeles/San Diego Academic markets. This field-based role focuses on driving Chromium, Visium, and Xenium consumables in top-tier academic and government accounts.

You will consult with customers, manage the sales lifecycle, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers. Travel within LA and SD regions is required; a strong background in single cell and spatial biology is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in Life Science.
• Extensive knowledge of single cell and spatial biology tools.
• Ability to travel as needed for field-based success.
• Proven ability to establish long-term customer relationships and close new business.
• Based in Los Angeles, San Diego, or Orange County.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a territory plan to meet or exceed business goals.
• Consult with customers on technology solutions using technical credibility.
• Demonstrate funnel management with hunting, prospecting and closing skills.
• Manage the sales process including forecasting, pipeline, and CRM tracking.
• Build trust with customers, understand research needs, and provide solutions.
• Coordinate with sales and support teams for an exceptional customer experience.
• Post-purchase follow-up to support ongoing consumables use and identify new opportunities.
• Engage in rigorous business and territory planning for accurate forecasting.
• Stay current on genetic analysis markets, products, and buying practices.
