Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Electrophysiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our growing academic faculty. The role spans the full spectrum of electrophysiology in a collaborative academic environment.

The division is expanding with 18 cardiologists and 5 PAs to meet rising demand, anchored by Albany Medical Center as the region’s leading academic tertiary care hospital.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued
• Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy is highly desirable
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
• Ablation procedures and device implantations
• Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers
