Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Electrophysiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our growing academic faculty. The role encompasses the full spectrum of electrophysiology in a collaborative academic environment.

We are expanding our team and offer opportunities to work with 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers. Albany Medical College, founded in 1839, remains a leading private medical school and tertiary care hospital in the Capital Region.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology.
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor.
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued.
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy is highly desirable.
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
• Ablation procedures and device implantations
• Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers
