Job summary

Albany Medical College's Division of Cardiology seeks a full-time Electrophysiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our growing academic faculty. This role offers the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of electrophysiology in a collaborative academic environment.

We are building a team of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers to meet rising demand at Albany Medical Center, the Capital Region's only academic tertiary care hospital, with a rich history

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology.
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor.
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued.
• Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy is highly desirable.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers.
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
• Ablation procedures and device implantations
• Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging.
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers
