Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Electrophysiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our expanding academic faculty. This role offers the full spectrum of electrophysiology in a collaborative academic setting.

We are building a team of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers to meet growing demand. Albany Medical College, founded in 1839, is one of the oldest private medical schools in the country.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology.
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities for an academic appointment.
• Leadership qualities and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy is desirable.
• Ability to teach, mentor and collaborate with medical students, residents and fellows.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach.
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations.
• Ablation procedures and device implantations.
• Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging.
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers.
