Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Content and Community Specialist to support the BSE and SES departments. The role will focus on communications, newsletters, and donor outreach, collaborating with the Department Administrator to enhance outreach efforts.

It is a full-time, partial remote position with hours 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, and occasional evenings or weekends. Prior higher education experience and content creation skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication; handle inquiries professionally.
• Experience with Zoom, Teams, Webex, Word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to maintain organized records and follow procedures.
• Experience supporting events and coordinating logistics.

Responsibilities

• Collects, analyzes, and prepares communications using established sources and technology.
• Maintains electronic/physical records per policy and procedures.
• Distributes communications to appropriate entities under supervision.
• Schedules meetings, conferences, travel, and unit operations; coordinates resources.
• Serves as first point of contact for information via phone, in person, or other channels.
