Responsibilities of the Academic Compliance Specialists
  1. State Regulatory Reporting and Compliance
  2. State Authorization
  3. Academic Operational Audit and Compliance
  4. New and Revised Program Applications and Implementation
  5. Programmatic Accreditation Reporting and Compliance
  6. Compliance Process, Communication, and Documentation

This role interacts with constituents at all levels of the University as well as external regulatory partners to ensure ongoing compliance. Developing standard processes and documentation will be a primary responsibility. The role will collaborate with System Division Chairs on regulatory submission templates, work with the Data Analytics/Compliance team on reporting requirements, and coordinate with Academic Operations Leadership on audit checklists and timelines.

Experience and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field; Master's preferred
  • Two years of experience in higher education
  • Experience interacting with post-secondary education regulatory bodies
  • Five years of compliance experience in post-secondary education (preferred)
  • Experience in developing and submitting applications to regulatory bodies (preferred)
  • Report writing experience (preferred)

Physical and Other Requirements
  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time
  • Ability to move around campus or clinical settings as needed
  • Constant verbal communication with students, faculty, staff, and colleagues
  • Ability to observe and assess visually or otherwise
  • Operate program-specific equipment, computers, audiovisual and clinical equipment
  • Travel up to 30% for off-site meetings or campus visits
