Job summary

Qualifications

• Direct academic advising experience in a community/technical college setting with caseload management and interventions.

The positions maintains 30 hours of advising availability per week, participates in on-going training provided by the Center and assigned academic department(s), facilitates early interventions, and regularly uses available technologies to ensure accurate and effective advising. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including a possible work schedule beyond regular operating hours. Must be able to travel between MTC campuses as needed.

This position will be located on either Midlands Technical College Airport or Beltline Campus

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Experience in student services programs and a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years experience in student services programs/academic advising or an achieved master's degree. The preferred candidate will have direct academic advising experience in a community/technical college setting including experience managing a caseload, leading student interventions, and leveraging technologies to document academic advisement and student support.
