University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) seeks an Academic Advisor within the Exploring and Pre-Professional Advising Center to provide advising and career/major exploration services to UNLV students. The role involves one-on-one and group advising, outreach, and collaboration with campus partners to support retention and timely degree completion.

Under supervision of the Director, the advisor will stay current with curriculum changes and contribute to promoting equitable student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• One year of experience in advising or student services.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising to undergraduate students in individual and group settings.
• Assist with exploration of majors/careers and promote student retention and progression.
• Conduct appointments in person, by phone, email, or video conference.
• Collaborate with campus partners and stay updated on curriculum changes.
