Job summary

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Director of Advising, College of Sciences. This leadership role oversees advising for 2,500+ undergraduates and drives student success initiatives in a student-centered center.

You will lead a large team, shape policies, and partner with faculty and administration to align advising with curricular changes and accreditation requirements, advancing inclusive access and success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by US DoE and CHEA by start date.
• Five years of professional work experience in academic advising.
• Five years of supervisory experience in advising/student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to a large advising unit.
• Establish unit policies and ensure structures meet diverse student needs.
• Provide direct advising to undergraduate and prospective students as needed.
• Represent the Advising Center in university committees and advocate for student needs.
• Collaborate with faculty/administration to align advising with curricular changes.
