Metal Finishing Technologies, LLC is seeking an FAA Blasting Operator in Bristol, CT. The role involves preparing metal and composite surfaces using abrasive blasting under FAA regulations, including drug and alcohol testing requirements.

You will operate sand blasting equipment, select abrasive media, and maintain the blasting system while following strict safety protocols. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Must read, write and understand English per FAA guidelines.
• Familiarity with FAA processes and SPOPS preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Operates abrasive blasting equipment including sand blasting machines and portable compressors.
• Prepares surfaces by removing contaminants for repairs or coatings.
• Selects appropriate abrasive media for surface and task.
• Maintains equipment including hoses and nozzles.
• Adheres to safety protocols and wears PPE.
• Follows work orders and instructions accurately.
• Identifies parts from visual/electronic descriptions.
• Prepares parts for subsequent processes like painting or anodizing.
• Other duties as assigned.
