Job summary

Metal Finishing Technologies, LLC is seeking a Blasting Operator to process parts and maintain associated areas and equipment. The role requires PPE use, including coveralls and a clean-air helmet for grit blasting in a large bay.

FAA-regulated duties include compliance with drug and alcohol testing, with marijuana prohibition in FAA roles. The operator will perform grit blasting, mask/unmask, equipment maintenance, and ensure parts meet process requirements while following documented

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years experience in a similar role.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

Process parts to documented procedures.
Grit blast parts in cabinets, at automated machines, or blast room.
Mask and unmask as necessary.
Ensure safety in all aspects of the role.
Ensure parts meet process requirements and take appropriate action if non-conforming.
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
Other duties as assigned.
