Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an ABR-certified or board-eligible Medical Physicist to join a growing Radiation Oncology program spanning Logan, Ogden, and Layton. You will partner with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and fellow physicists to support three advanced facilities, with occasional travel between Logan Regional Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital, and Layton Hospital.

The role emphasizes calibration, QA, treatment planning, and collaboration to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
Certification by ABR or ABMP in Radiation Oncology Physics or Canadian College of Medical Physics.
Licensure in the state of practice as required.

Responsibilities

Oversees calibration of radiation therapy equipment per AAPM standards and brachytherapy procedures with RSO collaboration.
Provides calibrations and quality control on all therapeutic radiation machines as required by the Division of Radiation Control.
Coordinates with Chief Therapist on simulation, treatment planning, and beam shaping device preparation.
Delivers routine clinical radiation therapy physics services and consults with oncologists on treatment plans.
Manages NRC/state radioactive materials licenses and reports variances to RSO; researches new tech for practice.
