Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Medical Physicist to support three advanced facilities: Logan Regional Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital, and Layton Hospital. The candidate will collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and physicists to deliver high-quality treatments regionally.

The role requires ABR-certified or board-eligible qualifications with licenses as applicable. Expect travel between Logan, Ogden, and Layton to provide coverage and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics (degree will be verified).
  • Certification by one of the following: American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology Physics or Canadian College of Medical Physics.
  • Licensure in the state of practice as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees calibration and quality control in accordance with AAPM standards and state/federal agencies.
  • Coordinates brachytherapy procedures with RSO and staff to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Develops and implements department Quality Improvement plans to enhance patient care.
  • Provides routine clinical radiation therapy physics services and consults with oncologists on treatment plans.
