Job summary

Intermountain Health is expanding its Radiation Oncology program, seeking an ABR-certified or board-eligible Medical Physicist to join a multidisciplinary team across Logan, Layton and Ogden region sites.

You will contribute to SBRT/HDR, QA, and treatment planning while collaborating with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to deliver high-quality patient care. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
  • Certification by ABR or ABMP in Radiation Oncology Physics or Canadian College of Medical Physics.
  • State licensure as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees calibration of radiation therapy equipment per AAPM and state/federal standards.
  • Performs calibrations and quality control on therapeutic machines.
  • Coordinates treatment planning with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists.
  • Manages NRC/state licenses for brachytherapy sources with the RSO.
  • Coordinates rotations across facilities and participates in QA and quality improvement.
