Role Description The ABB Robotics Engineer will work on-site in Lafayette, IN on a contract basis, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, program, and optimize ABB robotic systems for industrial applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and troubleshooting ABB robot controllers, developing and modifying robot programs, and integrating robotics solutions with existing production equipment and automation systems. The role involves analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for automation, and implementing improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and safety. The engineer will document technical specifications, create test plans, and support commissioning, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of robotic cells. This position also requires clear communication with operators, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and continuous improvement of robotics solutions.
