Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home-based and community settings in Downey, CA.

You’ll work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to build social and communication skills under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Join a team focused on meaningful outcomes, with flexible schedules, competitive hourly pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Either completed college coursework in relevant fields; or at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.
