Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related challenges.

You will help build social and communication skills while supporting families in home or community settings under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Typical duties include following behavior-change plans, recording progress, and creating engaging, structured interactions.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or at least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.
