Job summary

Newport-Mesa Unified School District seeks a dedicated instructional assistant to provide intensive ABA instruction and behavioral support for students with autism and related disorders. You will collect data, monitor progress, and assist with IEP goals in various educational settings.

Responsibilities include data recording, behavior charting, and collaboration with teachers to implement therapy plans, while maintaining confidentiality and supporting family engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of an ABA training program.
• Two years experience with children in a specialized learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive ABA instruction support to identified students.
• Collect data and monitor/ chart student behavior weekly to monthly.
• Record behavior logs and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Support teachers with IEP goals and behavior plans; supervise as needed.
• Assist in training students in adaptive functioning and social skills.
• Perform clerical duties related to classroom activities.
