Job summary

Citizens of the World Charter School - Los Angeles is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Implementation Associate to support students with disabilities within an inclusive classroom. You will provide individualized behavioral and instructional support, fostering independence and social-emotional growth.

You will deliver one-on-one ABA-based interventions, observe and record data, assist teachers, and implement therapy plans created by specialists.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or completion of two years of college coursework (minimum 48 semester units).
• One year experience or volunteer experience working with students with disabilities, including autism.
• Training and experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other behavior intervention techniques.
• Preferred: experience in school-based settings supporting diverse learners.
• BII or RBT certification (Registered Behavior Technician) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction for individual students or small groups with special needs as assigned.
• Assist students in prescribed learning activities.
• Monitor student behavior and apply approved behavior management techniques to redirect and modify challenging behaviors.
• Deliver one-on-one ABA-based interventions as outlined in student plans.
• Implement therapy plans developed by Behavior Intervention and Education Specialists.
• Observe, record, and report behavioral data per established procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Assist teachers during the school day with instruction, oversight, and supervision of students.
• Provide adaptive support with eating and toileting as needed.
• Perform related duties to support all students' success.
