Job summary

Solon High School seeks an Instructional/Non-Instructional Aide to support students under the ABA framework. The role includes following behavior plans, delivering direct instruction across communication, adaptive and vocational skills, and collaborating with the School Psychologist, Lead Teacher and BCBA.

Responsibilities include data collection, maintaining confidentiality, and engaging with students in a supportive, professional manner. A Bachelor in Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preschool and special education experience preferred.
• Ability to commit to full day work (7:40-2:40 Mon-Thu) and (Every Other Friday 7:40-11:55).
• Strong at collaborating and accepting feedback.
• Ability to engage proactively with student with problem behaviors.
• Ability to implement behavior plans for challenging behaviors and to provide direct instruction on a wide array of skills.
• Organized and able to manage and organize content and data collection under guidance.
• Understands confidentiality and may pass background checks.
• Reliable transportation to work and ability to ride school bus with student.
• Maintain self-control and objective demeanor in difficult situations; stay professional.
• College experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ABA-based program under supervision by School Psychologist, Lead Teacher and BCBA.
• Follow behavior plans for challenging behaviors and provide direct instruction.
• Support development of communication, adaptive and vocational skills.
• Collaborate with School Psychologist, Lead Teacher and BCBA for ongoing support.
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring as directed.
