Job summary

Advocates is seeking a Behavior Technician to implement ABA treatment for clients aged 1 to 22 across home, ABA Center, and community settings under supervision. You will collect data and support independence in functional skills as part of the client’s treatment team.

Able to train and orient new staff, communicate with guardians, and follow plans closely. Schedule is Mon-Fri with some evenings/weekends; RBT certification paid by us.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RBT credential or higher education preferred (Bachelor’s or Associate).
• Must pass background checks and have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, automobile insurance and access to insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the lives of those we serve through positive approaches, following approved treatment plans.
• Assist to meet goals outlined in the treatment plan with consultation from Behavior Analyst.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new staff; provide feedback to coworkers.
• Collect accurate data across all aspects within the program (e.g., toileting, DTI, behavior, environment, records).
• Participate in development of individualized plans and attend meetings as appropriate.
• Work one on one in the ABA Center/home/community with a child that has special healthcare needs.
• Meet with Behavior Analyst to review family concerns, scheduling, and treatment plan administration.
• Implement instructional strategies consistently and as prescribed by the Behavior Analyst.
• Communicate medical, physical, or other changes in client status to guardian and clinical team.
• Implement teaching programs in a positive, proactive manner at all times.
• Responsible for all aspects of the client’s treatment plan including self-care and toilet training.
