Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Culver City, CA is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home‑based or community‑based settings. You will work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to build social and communication skills, following plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and document progress.

This role offers flexible morning, afternoon and evening shifts, mileage reimbursement, and benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Either completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or at least one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.
