Job summary

The Maryland School for the Blind in Maryland is seeking a dedicated aide to support students and staff under the direction of the BCBA, implementing ABA-based instructional components and assisting with BIPs, IEPs, and data collection.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, track student progress, manage data entry, and help with daily living skills, sensory needs, and use of assistive tech for a wide age range (3–21).

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must complete all relevant specialized training programs, beginning with 40 in-person training hours.
• Must demonstrate competency in relevant areas.
• Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports instructional components based on ABA.
• Collects student data and assists with data analysis and updating graphs.
• Provides instructional and behavioral support to students.
• Follows the BIP guidelines outlined by the BCBA.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to prepare instructional and behavioral materials.
• Manages data entry and tracks student progress across shifts.
• Assists with daily living skills and travel skills.
• Utilizes augmentative communication devices and assistive technology.
