Job summary

Chimes International Limited in Baltimore is seeking a Behavior Specialist to support students with autism and other behavioral challenges. You will coach teachers, develop individualized behavior plans, and contribute to classroom progress through data-driven strategies.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families, admins, and external providers, with focus on ABA-based programs, FBA/FA assessments, and IEP participation. BCBA pathway preferred; BCBA certification support offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of crisis management experience with de-escalation.
• Working knowledge of ABA and IEP processes.
• Familiarity with special education regulations.
• Strong data tracking and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with patience and a strengths-based approach.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and analyses; present findings to IEP teams.
• Develop behavior intervention plans and monitor them in the classroom.
• Coach teachers and staff in behavior management and de-escalation.
• Collect and analyze observation data to inform instructional changes.
• Help design ABA-based programs for autism and other disabilities.
• Collaborate with families, admins, and external providers; participate in IEP meetings.
• Maintain clear records and confidentiality.
