Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) seeks an ABA Instructor in Bloomfield, CT to support one-to-one classroom instruction using Applied Behavior Analysis methods. You will assist with academic and behavioral interventions, collect data, and collaborate with teachers to monitor progress.

The role emphasizes implementing BIPs, maintaining safety during activities, and contributing to a supportive learning environment for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year experience working with students with disabilities.
• Must pass competency checklist within 90 days of hire and Safety Care/PMT training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support daily school functions including arrival, dismissal, meals, and coverage.
• Provide 1:1 and small group instruction under the classroom teacher.
• Collect and enter student data in real time and in district systems.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement ABA-based learning and behavior plans.
• Assist with Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) and data collection.
