Culmen International is seeking an AAT Engineering Technician to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.

The AAT Engineering Technician will ensure operability and compliance of animal telemetry and aerosol delivery systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support experiment execution.

Responsibilities:

• Calibrate and troubleshoot telemetry and aerosol delivery systems.
• Support technical setup and sterilization of exposure chambers.
• Maintain logs and documentation of engineering controls.
• Collaborate with research and veterinary staff.
• Follow BSL-3/4 engineering support protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, or related field, or Associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in mechanical and electronic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of telemetry, sensors, and lab automation.
• Familiarity with BSL facility support systems.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.
