Job description

Aerobiology, Animal Clinical Pathology and Telemetry (AAT) Engineering Technician


This position at Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health supports the AAT team at Fort Detrick, Maryland. It is contingent upon contract award, and incumbents are encouraged to apply. The salary range is $75,000 - $84,000, with benefits including holidays, paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K plan. The role involves supporting aerosol exposure experiments, equipment design and maintenance, laboratory management, and scientific data analysis. Responsibilities include aerosol system assembly, SOP development, biosafety cabinet certification, and training of staff. The technician will also assist with research data management, manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and safety compliance. Cross-training in bacterial and viral assays, animal pathology, and telemetry is expected. Attendance at scheduled training and routine laboratory maintenance are required. The position demands adherence to GLP and biosafety standards in BSL-2, BSL-3, or BSL-4 environments.
