Job summary

Airbus Americas in Mobile, Alabama seeks an Aircraft Quality Inspector to join the quality team overseeing production inspections of aircraft structures and mechanical systems. You will document inspection results in SAP-based and NCMS systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, customer requirements, and certification standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in aviation QA, and hold an FAA A&P license with inspection authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• FAA A&P license with inspection authorization preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in aviation, focusing on mechanical/structural components.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and inspection documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, in-process, first article, and final inspections during aircraft manufacturing.
• Document inspections in SAP-based and NCMS-based systems with inspection marks.
• Support troubleshooting and participate in Quality Survey requests.
• Assist with audits of Non-Conformance, MRB, and PV approvals as required.
• Track components through Non-Conformance and maintain quality records.
