Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School completion or equivalent; GED required.
  • Ten long periods in Section 121/135/transport airplane maintenance or quality investigation.
  • Five long periods in heavy maintenance for Section121 class airplane.
  • Three long periods working on an A320 type airplane.
  • Two long periods supervising or working remotely without direct management.
  • Completion of an A320 General Introduction Course or equivalent Airbus A320 course.
  • Approval to work in the U.S. under the ICE 1986 program.
  • Pass a criminal background investigation.
  • All staff must have valid certifications for at least six months within the past two years or possess an FAA endorsement if new experience is not met.
  • Proficient in PC skills; experience with accuracy estimating software.
  • Ability to read and analyze all manuals and related documentation for aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct management of aircraft enlistment and weighty maintenance activities at Allegiant Air’s support supplier facilities.
  • Serve as the main liaison between Allegiant Air and weighty maintenance suppliers; communicate aircraft status, estimate turnaround time, and enforce deadlines.
  • Screen workmanship and materials for compliance with Allegiant Air, FAA, and company guidelines.
  • Coordinate with various Allegiant Air divisions to resolve issues that affect timely aircraft availability.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and financial requirements, including reviewing vendor requests, cost justification, and invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate aircraft records, solicit vendor approvals, and sign work records as necessary.
  • Approve aircraft release after weighty maintenance, documenting airworthiness completion.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the support program.
  • Assist in the development of the weighty maintenance program for each aircraft.
  • Coordinate with FAA DARs to perform aircraft conformity investigations and complete NDI, RII, and other required reviews.
  • Travel 75%‑80% of the time and be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
