Job summary

Allegiant Air in Nashville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader (Aircraft Technician) to guide Technicians in daily maintenance tasks. The role includes performing maintenance duties and stepping in for the Maintenance Supervisor when needed.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED, A&P license with AWR, ERT, and SOJT-TtT certifications, and at least two years in heavy line maintenance. Strong safety and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Combination of Education and Experience will be considered.
• Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Certification: Yes
• Must hold A&P license, Engine Run & Taxi (ERT), Airworthiness Release (AWR) and SOJT-TtT qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Laying out and assuming control of quality and quantity of work assignments.
• Review the log book for each RON or idle aircraft at the base for open write-ups and currency of the Service Check.
• Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner and in accordance with company policy, manufacturers’ manuals and FAA requirements.
• Coordinate work and jobs in progress with oncoming mechanics during shift change.
• Ensure that paperwork, tags, etc., are properly filled out and signed, including tags for parts removed from aircraft.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Give on the job training and information on procedures, safety and good practices.
• Keep certifications current (ERT, AWR, SOJT-TtT).
• Keep the Maintenance Supervisor advised of problems that could delay work.
• Ensure qualified personnel perform duties.
• Improve efficiency and production through effective resource use.
• Pursue continuous learning from technical materials.
