Job summary

Baruch College seeks an IT Support Assistant to provide front-line A/V and computer support across classrooms, meeting spaces, and campus events. You will handle A/V control systems, projectors, displays, and basic device support in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the Enterprise Systems and Services Director and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to support diverse campus users.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 months of related full-time IT or information technology experience.
• Demonstrated English language proficiency.
• A New York State driver’s license may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot A/V control systems (Extron, Crestron) and support projectors and displays.
• Provide front-line computer and device support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Install, configure, and transport computing equipment and peripherals; assist with network-related tasks.
• Provide professional user support to faculty, staff, and students; track and resolve service desk tickets.
