Job summary

New Era Technology in Plano, TX is seeking an A/V Conferencing Technology Specialist to install, operate, and maintain audiovisual and video conferencing systems at client sites.

You will ensure systems are operational, support conferences and events, and provide on-the-job training and documentation updates. The role requires Cisco/Polycom knowledge, strong service mindset, and willingness to work flexible hours and travel locally.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in client-facing technical support.
• Knowledge of Cisco or Polycom videoconferencing systems.
• Knowledge of AV control systems and components.
• Strong client and service-minded mindset.
• Proficient in troubleshooting AV systems across conference rooms.
• Ability to read AV system signal flow diagrams.
• Ability to lift and install AV equipment if needed.
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure audiovisual, multimedia, and computing systems are operational.
• Assist with setup and operation of audiovisual, multimedia, and computing systems for conferences and events.
• Provide AV engineering, service, maintenance, and support for client facilities.
• Monitor systems, diagnose performance issues, and notify client of deficiencies.
• Coordinate and schedule videoconference requests and maintain loaner equipment logs.
• Provide on-the-job AV system operator training and update documentation as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with company policies.
• Travel to client sites as required.

Education

AVIXA CTS certification preferred
