Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor) to deliver FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and provide hands-on instruction for aspiring aircraft maintenance technicians. The role emphasizes mentoring, safety, and real-world maintenance practices.

The position offers onsite opportunities nationwide with 4- or 5-day schedules and a mix of full-time and part-time options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification
• Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership
• Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment
• Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials
