Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Instructors (A&P) to deliver FAA Part 147-aligned training and hands-on instruction to aspiring AMTs. Roles are onsite at our nationwide campus network, with multiple schedule options including 4- or 5-day weeks.

No prior teaching experience is required; a 5-day paid instructor training program helps you transition to the classroom. A&E roles welcome seasoned A&P mechanics seeking a new chapter in aviation education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• FAA A&P certificate required.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Background as an A&P Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic, or AMT.

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems in a hands-on environment.
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum for A&P certification.
• Demonstrate practical skills used by AMTs and aviation technicians.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and progress records.
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
• Create a structured, safety-focused learning environment.
• Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials.
