Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor) to deliver FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and provide hands-on instruction at our campus locations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, hold an FAA A&P certificate, and are eager to mentor students in a structured, safety-focused learning environment. Various full-time and part-time onsite schedules are available nationwide.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate required
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience
• Background as an A&P Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic, or AMT
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and aviation maintenance procedures
• Flexibility for evening or weekend schedules as needed
• Interest in mentoring and developing others

Responsibilities

• Teach FAA Part 147-aligned aircraft maintenance curriculum
• Provide hands-on instruction to students in classroom and hangar
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and progress
• Support curriculum updates and program leadership
• Promote safety in all learning activities
• Prepare and manage learning materials and equipment
