RAVN Aerospace is headquartered in Ellington Field, Texas, with various operating sites around the country. We offer a wide range of aviation services to assist governments, international organizations, and private sector entities. Our services include Air-to-Air threat replication, Close Air Support, and Test and Evaluation.

We provide on and off-site aircraft operation for a diverse customer base worldwide, maintaining a fleet of Embraer A-27 (Tucano) and BAe L-59 (Hawk) aircraft, known for their reliability and versatility.

This position is located at our contract site in San Antonio, Texas.

What you get to do:

As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting of Airframe and Powerplant systems on the A-27 Tucano and BAe Hawk aircraft, reporting to the Maintenance Lead. Your duties include:

1. Maintaining the premises in a clean and organized manner.
2. Assembling and installing electrical, avionic, mechanical, hydraulic, structural components using hand and power tools.
3. Removing/installing aircraft components, testing, troubleshooting systems.
4. Repairing, replacing, rebuilding aircraft structures and systems.
5. Servicing, repairing, modifying aircraft and engines.
6. Handling storage and shipment of engines and support equipment, including documentation.
7. Consulting technical publications for specifications.
8. Performing tasks independently.
9. Conducting routine inspections and corrective actions.
10. Operating aerospace ground support equipment.
11. Adhering to safety regulations and recording all maintenance actions.
12. Ensuring proper documentation post-maintenance.
13. Loading and downloading aircraft weapons systems.
14. Being able to commute to San Antonio, Texas.
15. Holding an A&P License.
16. Having an active US federal security clearance or ability to obtain one.
17. Having experience with turboprop and jet aircraft, with at least 4+ years on jet aircraft.
18. At least 2+ years of demonstrated experience as an A&P Mechanic without violations.
19. Maintaining a clean driving record.
20. Willingness to travel within the US.
21. Ability to remain calm in high-paced environments, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
22. Passing a drug screening test.
23. Preferred: experience on Tucano and/or Hawk aircraft, PT6, military aviation background, valid US Passport, willingness to travel.
