Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking Structural Technicians to support the Executive Fleet program in San Antonio, TX. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most iconic aircraft in the world, ensuring safety, reliability, and advanced capabilities. The selected candidates must be able to support any shift assigned (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
This position is eligible for a $2,000 referral bonus for all full-time hires!
Key Duties
- Perform close-tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation of critical support structures, including fracture-critical areas, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Perform sealing, painting, shimming, and preservation of structures according to standard repair processes.
- Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modification and repair of structural parts.
- Apply technical expertise to interpret technical data, such as blueprints or manuals, to solve complex problems.
- Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate parts and discrepancy requests.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and process specifications for structural modifications, repairs, and installations.
- Utilize specialized aircraft tools and test equipment, including torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and sheet metal brakes.
- Work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms, adhering to safety protocols like Hazardous Energy Control and Lockout/Tagout.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
- U.S. citizenship due to security requirements.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening, including marijuana testing.
- Subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
- At least 1 year of aircraft/aerospace experience.
- Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits.
- Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, with possible overtime.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and process specifications.
- Proficient in accessing and using computer systems for work instructions and documentation.
- Experience with nonporous metals like aluminum, titanium, stainless steel.
- Experience with hand tools such as drills, rivet guns, and hole finders.
- Experience working with heavy structures on aircraft.
- Knowledge of aircraft troubleshooting, repair procedures, and component replacement.
- Familiarity with aircraft tools and test equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or similar certification.
- Experience with large-scale aircraft maintenance or complex systems.
- Experience working on or around an executive fleet.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and elevating equipment.
